I bought a set of bearings from Hong Kong which were far better than the stock set of bushes but had a large up and down movement.. I ordered a set of bearings from Boca (ceramic balls) and the Australia Post guys lost them, so, after a number of weeks got in touch with these Florida based manufacturers and they resent another set, for free with no postage..
Well, the results were:
- Shaft movement up and down was negligible and remains so
- Noise reduction was impressive - the Chinese (steel ball) bearings were better than stock bushes but getting these were like moving to a Rolls Royce
- I don't fly the AR Drone 2 all the time but after 18hrs flight time the performance is the same as day 1 (no crashes maybe part of this) - any issues were related to rotor balancing but changing this didn't affect bearing performance.
I know these are expensive but they really perform and the follow up from the Company was great. I'd like to know how many bushes/cheap bearings will out perform these ones.
