Bots High
1. What is Bots High documentary about?
Bots High is a feature documentary that follows three high school robotics teams as they design, build, and compete with combat robots in a national competition. It’s math and science education in action, plus two of the three teams followed are all-girls teams.
2. Do you build robots as well?
I don’t, but if I knew programs like this existed in high school I definitely would have! But I hope when things calm down with the film I can compete in a future competition...more »
MorpHex
1. Could you in a few words introduce your project?
MorpHex is a sphere shaped hexapod that is able to walk on six legs and transform into a ball. MorpHex also has the ability to roll like a ball by moving the sphere sections in a sequence.
2. What fascinates you about building robots?
I’ve always been fascinated by robots since I was a little boy and have made also sorts of funny machines ever since then. I find hobby robotics fun and challenging, especially since making robots involve many different skills like programming, electronics, mechanics and design. 1. How did you come up with the team name “TeamDARE Eindhoven”?
Our team is called “TeamDARE” which stands for “Daring Autonomous Robots Eindhoven”. We needed a team name when participating in Eurobot in 2005. The name sticked since then.
