Tina Valle is a Triathlete! 2011 marked my first full season of competing in triathlons. I began this whole crazy triathlon thing midway through 2010. I am proud to say that 2011 was an amazing year – I moved up to Olympic distance and Half Ironman distances races, in addition to the Sprint distance ones. A few of my biggest accomplishments this year were: finishing top 10 in my age group in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, to finishing 2nd in age group for SuperFrog Triathlon, and winning my age group for the Koz Triathlon Series in San Diego, CA. Honestly, it has been a blur and I am not sure where the time [and money] has all gone!
I have three big races planned for 2012 (1) Ironman 70.3 Oceanside, (2) Vineman Full Sonoma, CA, and (3) Ironman Arizona. Additionally, I plan on participating on all of the awesome races that the Triathlon Club of San Diego (best triathlon club in the world) hosts throughout the year. In preparation for the 2012 race season I have already had both of my bikes dialed in at Ped Power Perform Lab w/ Retul and I have already selected my first training plan for Ironman Oceanside.
Thanks to my family and friends for supporting my pursuit of triathlon. Their love and support fuels me when I feel pain or weakness. Thanks to Mix1 for literally fueling my body.
Thanks to Boca Bearings for being there from the start – you are my invisible weapon!
