Radial Bearings
The purpose of a radial bearing is to reduce rotational friction and support loads. This is achieved by using two races to hold the balls and to spread the load through the balls. As the bearing race rotates it causes the balls to rotate. The ball provides for substantially less rolling resistance and coefficient of friction than if two flat surfaces were rotating. One Way Bearings
New One Way Bearing series by Boca Bearings. Drawn cup needle roller clutches have a small radial section height and are also commonly known as One Way Bearings or Anti-Reverse Bearings. This design uses the same small radial section as drawn cup needle roller bearings which make better use of available space. The units are compact, lightweight and operate directly on a shaft; they are also suitable for transmitting high torque.Learn More »

Stainless Steel Balls
Stainless Steel 440C Series Balls contains a martensitic-type stainless steel used extensively in bearing applications that require hadrness, dimensional stability, corrosion resistance and toughness. Stainless Steel 440C Balls are resistant to corrosion from fresh water, steam, crude oil, gasoline, perspiration, alcohol, blood and food stuffs. Stainless Steel does contain some carbon so it is still slightly magnetic. Learn More »

Stainless Steel Mounted Units
Flange mounted bearings are used when a shaft axis is perpendicular to the bearing mounting surface. Available in 2, 3, or 4-hole configurations, flange mounted bearings provide a method of accurate mounting fits and load support. 2-bolt flanged bearings have a diamond shaped flange with 2 mounting holes. Most 3-bolt flanged bearings have a circular mounting flange with three, equally spaced mounting holes.

Needle Bearings
Needle bearings use a roller style rolling element to reduce friction of a rotating surface. Needle Bearings have a high load carrying capacity with a very small cross section height. They are available with or without an inner ring. The needle rollers are guided parallel to the axis using a cage retainer, thrust bearings can also be supplied with no retainer, which is referred to as a full complement of rollers.

Stainless Steel Thrust Bearings
Thrust bearings are designed for side or axial loads, and cannot handle much radial load at all. The rolling element in a thrust bearing can be a ball, needle or roller. Thrust bearings come in both metric and inch sizes. Dimensions to consider when searching are the bore, the outside diameter and the overall width. Operating specifications to consider when searching for thrust bearings are rated speed, static axial load, and dynamic axial load.

Angular Contact Bearings
Angular contact bearings are designed such that there is an angle between the races and the balls when the bearing is in operation. An axial load passes in a straight line through the bearing, whereas a radial load takes an oblique path that tends to want to separate the races axially. So the angle of contact on the inner race is the same as that on the outer race.
