George Leone's passion in life for the past 28 years is designing, building and racing streamlined fully-faired recumbent bicycles (called "speedbikes" or "Human Powered Vehicles"). He is also employed as the manager of the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Mechanical Engineering Department's Senior Project Lab, where he guides students building the projects they design. George has been involved in designing and/or building over 30 speedbikes, with the fastest, Primal 2, attaining a speed of 70.4 mph. It is currently in the top 15 speedbikes ever raced. He is currently in the design phase of a new speedbike with the goal of reaching 80+ mph.

Greetings, I am an elite with a disability. I have participated in forty four marathons ( 26.2 miles), seven triathlons and many shorter distance races. These are some of the results that I have achieved during my career: I finished in first place in the Wheelchair Division of the Miami Marathon in 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2011; the Disney World Marathon in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and in the West Palm Beach Marathon in 2004,2005, 2006, 2007 and 2012. Hello, my name is chris land and i am an engineering instructor at Sussex County Technical School, a public high school located in sparta, new jersey. my junior and senior engineering class (12 Junior and Senior Students) is currently manufacturing a human powered submarine to be raced in the 12th International Submarine Races (ISR). (www.isrsubrace.org) the ISR will be held at the Carderock Naval Facility in Bethesda, Maryland this June. This is actually our 6th submarine over the last 12 years. Our vessel must navigate an underwater 100 meter long course at a depth of 20 feet. Student pilots breath SCUBA while operating the submarine.

I am a senior Mechanical Engineering Student at Lawrence Technological University. For 2012-2013, I am the Lead drivetrain and chassis engineer for the SAE Baja racing team. For years I have restored and built vintage motorcycles, as well as a handful of other small vehicles. When I was younger, I was heavily involved with 1/10 R/C Stadium Trucks, as well as regular fishing excursions with my father.

As SAITEM, we have been interested with vehicles working by alternative energy sources such as solar energy, electrical energy, hydro energy… We have mainly two car projects for two races that will be organized internationally. One of them is Shell Eco Marathon is going to be organised at Holland in May of 2013 and we’ll take part to this race by Evrim which is a car, working by electrical energy, will be built by SAITEM. And another one is World Solar Challenge which will be organised at Australia in September of 2013 and we’ll take part to this race by Saguar 3 which will be built by SAITEM again. In the previous year, Evrim and Saguar 2 alternative energy cars have had important degrees in their categories in the world and Turkey.

We're the University of Kansas' Formula SAE team, Jayhawk Motorsports. We design, build, and race formula style cars. Formula SAE is a world wide collegiate engineering design competition. We are slightly different than other teams though. We build two cars every year, one fully electric and one conventional combustion engine car. Last year, we won 1st place with both our cars in their respected competitions.

Our school competes in the F1inSchools challenge. We are currently the only school in Kenya with the capacity and software knowledge to design and manufacture cars for this competition. My name is Jimmy Pletinckx I lived in Belgium, I am 33 year old. I have been fishing since I was 6 years old. My favorite places to fish are the Holland for the zander pike and suede, and Spain for the bass. I have started to participate in competitions this year,with my co-angler Christophe Huwarts and we won the euro nitro cup 2012. this competition is the biggest in Europe for the Bass. My name is Kyle Hollinger and I am from Mechanicsburg, PA. I have been racing RC cars for 4 years now. I race mod buggy, mod 4wd buggy, and mod SCT. I really enjoy traveling to different races around the country, meeting new people, and helping out fellow racers. I work very hard at being the best driver I can be, but at the end of the day its all about having fun. My latest achievements include winning the Roar Region 2 Championship Series in Mod SCT, 3rd in Mod 4wd Buggy, and 5th in Mod 2wd Buggy. I placed 2nd in both Mod 2wd Buggy and Mod SCT at the Elite Electric Race as well 5th in Mod 4wd Buggy.

Hi, my name is Randy Barymon and I am 34 years old living in Jonesboro Arkansas. I have only been racing RC for the past couple of years, but have been into the RC hobby for about 14 years. I have drag raced RC cars for 5 years both 1/10 and 1/4 scale. I designed and built my own chassis which, with Boca Bearings, consistantly run in the top of the pack. The last big race I was in was the Winter Mid West 2013 I ran stock SCT and Stock buggy . In my SCT (Kyosho SRC SP I run Boca bearings already I Qualified 7 in A main with it finished 11 in that. For stock buggy I ended up with 4 in the C main drove half the race with a broken shock tower but finished 4 so I was happy . I am an avid electric racer in the Atlanta Metro area that has been racing for 18 years. I originally started racing in Tampa, Florida in the early 90’s and strictly raced 1/10th electric vehicles. I enjoyed some success racing in some of the legendary races held at Lake Park like the Losi Winter Champs race. I moved away from RC in the early 2000 because there was a large shift from electric to nitro. I stayed out of the RC hobby for a few years until recently. My name is Igor Fokeev, I am a 28 year old IT guy by day, and overtime aviation and tech buff by night, I currently reside in Long Island, NY. From as far back as I can remember, aviation was always at the top of my list… when I was a kid (in Russia), my grandmother was an engineer for Sukhoi, so naturally I was bit by the bug and never looked back. I have been flying electric RC helicopters for about three years now, but my experience with the RC hobby stretches back over 14 years (mostly bashing RC cars with my friends, which I am still into). I enjoy many aspects of life, and a major one is helping people. Whether its RC cars, helis, or your PC, I have always made a point to help friends and strangers alike figure out the complexities of this great hobby… I am always glad to help.
