Full ceramic bearings are capable of achieving 900 degrees Celsius under operating conditions. 

Electrical current leakage from equipment such as motors and power generators often causes pitting or micro-welding. Commonly this issue can be caused by an asymmetrical motor magnet circuit, unshielded power cables and fast switching PWM converters used in variable frequency drives. If electrical current is able to flow through the bearing then small sparks will result in damage to the inner and outer race, and this damage eventually leads to bearing failure. To prevent bearing failure in electrical applications ceramic coated insulated bearings or ceramic hybrid bearings can be used.

Our special zirconia is stronger than titanium and it is just as compatible as titanium with the body. This special ceramic has lower plaque adhesion than titanium, better soft tissue response and no chance for grey shine through the gums with zirconia. Even with zirconia abutments on top of titanium implants, you can still get some gum recession and the titanium grey will shine through. Our implant is metal free as well.

An autoclave is a machine that uses steam under pressure to kill harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores on items that are placed inside a pressure vessel. In order to kill a cell with heat, its temperature must be raised to a degree at which the proteins in the cell wall break down and coagulate.  To be effective, the autoclave must reach and maintain a temperature of 121° C for at least 30 minutes by using saturated steam under at least 15 psi of pressure.

Ceramic hybrid bearings do not require any lubrication to run and can be lubricated directly by the refrigerant instead of oil. A recent study found that all-steel bearings started to show inadequate lubrication signs at levels of 20% to 30% dilution of refrigerant to oil. Tests were done with ceramic hybrid bearings in pure refrigerant and the bearings were in as new condition at the end of the test. This was the test that proved refrigerant can be used as a lubricant for hybrid bearings because the refrigerant forms an elasto-hydrodynamic lubricant film.

Wire drawing is a metalworking process used to reduce the cross-section of a wire by pulling the wire through a single, or series of, drawing dies. There are many applications for wire drawing, including electrical wiring, cables, tension-loaded structural components, springs, paper clips, spokes for wheels, and stringed musical instruments. Although similar in process, drawing is different from extrusion, because in drawing the wire is pulled, rather than pushed, through the die.
